Arlington Heights Rotary Santa Run; Continue the Tradition or Start New One
“Sleigh bells ring… Are you list’nin’?” Wait, what?! Ok, no one really wants to be ‘walking in a winter wonderland’ just yet, but there is a holiday tradition you may want to start planning for – the 2018 Rotary Santa Run.
Save Dec. 1st to participate in the oldest holiday run in the region: a 5K (3.1 mile) Run/Walk sponsored by the Rotary Club of Arlington Heights. Register today to keep your name off of Santa’s Naughty List. You might even say you’ll #RunforaCause !
Don’t worry about what to wear. Your registration includes a five-piece Santa suit to proudly adorn, along with the other 1500 or so participants, as part of the Santa wave flowing through the streets of Arlington Heights.
Rotary Santa Run Gear
Get your Rotary Santa Run 100% polyester, long sleeve shirt for a $20 donation. You can also be fashion forward by securing a logo sweatshirt for a $30 donation. The design can be found on the Rotary Santa Run Registration Site, after you select your race.
The sooner you plan, the easier on your wallet. Register for the 11th Annual Rotary Santa Run for only $35 if you do it before 10/31. Race registration will be $40 from 11/01 until 12/01, and on race day, it’s $45. There are discounts for children under 12 as well: $25 until 10/31, $30 from 11/1 to 11/30, and $35 on race day.
The little ones are not left out, with a four-block Reindeer Run for the 10 and under crowd. It’s just before the start of the big race, and each runner gets a set of antlers to personalize with their registration of $5. Do not fret; children are never out of sight of their parents’ watchful eyes or their video-recording phones.
